Since October 2019 Lebanon has experienced a variety of tragedies, most significantly economic collapse and a major explosion in Beirut. The currency has lost around 90% of its value and 50% of the population live in poverty. The effects of this have had an ongoing and growing impact on the communities that we serve.
As such, Cedars Network and its Lebanese partners are committed to providing relief to the marginalized. We are giving food vouchers and nutritional supplementation to families each month. We also participate in the restoration of Beirut by way of reconstruction of doors and windows and replacement of household items to victims of the blast.
